Cookie Policy

How TempMailKit uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you stay in control.

Last updated: June 14, 2026

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let a site remember information between page loads and across visits, such as a preference you set or whether you have already seen a notice. Similar technologies, including local storage and pixels, do related jobs and are covered by this policy wherever we refer to "cookies".

A cookie set by the site you are visiting is called a first-party cookie. A cookie set by another company whose code runs on the page (for example an advertising or analytics provider) is called a third-party cookie.

How TempMailKit uses cookies

TempMailKit is designed to need as little persistent data as possible. The temporary inbox itself works without an account, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you. The cookies and storage we do use fall into the categories below.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include storage that remembers your current temporary address for the duration of your session and a record of your cookie-consent choice so we do not ask you again on every page. Because these are essential, they are set without requiring consent.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where traffic comes from, and whether features work. This helps us improve the service. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the consent banner, and the data is used in aggregate rather than to identify you personally.

Advertising

TempMailKit is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads and, where permitted, to show more relevant ads. These cookies are only set after you accept advertising cookies in our consent banner. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Managing and withdrawing consent

When you first visit, our consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential (analytics and advertising) cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser and reloading the page, which brings the banner back.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising across many providers at youradchoices.com or optout.aboutads.info. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our service or the technologies we rely on change. When we do, we will update the date below. Significant changes will be reflected in the consent banner so you can review your choices.
